Dow SKANE M-8 antifungal agent, an environmentally friendly preservative, has exceptional stability in dried paint films. In the past two decades, millions of gallons of coatings with mold inhibitor SKANE M-8 added to the US market have never experienced adverse phenomena such as yellowing, discoloration, ashing, and cracking, effectively killing fungi. Mold inhibitor M-8 has extremely strong killing ability against fungi, a wide range of activity, and its effective dosage is lower than that of general mold inhibitors.
High versatility mould inhibitor M-8 can be used in almost all paints: acrylic acid, polyvinyl acetate and other lotion; The use of mold inhibitor M-8 in solvent based paints and alkyd paints is simple. As it is in liquid form, it is easy to add to latex and paint formulations with low toxicity. Extensive toxicity tests have shown that the toxicity of mold inhibitors is very low under specified usage levels
