Adeka The reactive emulsifier SR-10 contains an allyl active functional group in its molecular structure and has surface activity. It is mainly used as a reactive emulsifier for emulsion polymerization and participates in the polymerization reaction of monomers, providing a place for emulsion polymerization. It has excellent emulsifying properties such as low foaming, small particle size of emulsion, and more stable dispersion, which improves the water resistance, weather resistance, heat resistance, and other properties of polymer coatings.

Product Features:
●Environmentally friendly, free of APEO, with a biodegradation rate of ≥60%;
Sulfate salt anionic-nonionic surfactants have low surface tension and excellent wetting and dispersing properties;
●The retention rate of double bonds is ≥90%, which is reactive and can be copolymerized with acrylic acid and styrene monomers;
● Polyoxyethylene ether chain increases salt resistance;
● It can emulsify monomers and is suitable for high-emulsion solid content (more than 50%);
●Gives the lotion excellent water resistance and mechanical stability;
Main application and effect evaluation:
●As an emulsifier, it participates in the polymerization reaction, and there is no free emulsifier after polymerization, mainly improving the physical properties such as water resistance of the coating film;
●It is suitable for pure acrylic, styrene-acrylic and vinyl acetate-acrylic water-based emulsion polymerization systems. The recommended addition amount is 2.5% based on the amount of monomer. It can be used as a main emulsifier for monomer pre-emulsification, and can also be added as a bottom emulsifier in the reaction tank (the recommended addition amount of bottom emulsifier is 20-25%). It can also be used together with nonionic co-emulsifiers in the emulsion system;
Both hydrophilic and hydrophobic monomers have excellent emulsifying properties, such as SM/PP/EVA/SBR/ABS monomers, which can be emulsified and polymerized. However, styrene (SM) has low copolymerization with allyl groups, and it is not recommended to add styrene monomer to the seed at the bottom of the emulsification kettle;
Adding reactive emulsifier at the bottom of the kettle can effectively improve the production of white colloidal particles;
The homopolymerization of allyl groups is very low, but when the concentration reaches above cmc, the polymerization rate will accelerate. When coexisting with acrylic acid monomers, the polymerization rate will be even faster

Prepolymer: 0.5g of base emulsifier, 10g of monomer, 0.1g of initiator, and 61.3g of water
